OU Aid Program Volunteer

Marie Hajkova

Nazy’s Guest House and Pankisi Valley Tourism & Development Association (PVTDA) have been working closely in partnership with Ostrava University in Czechia since 2019 to develop it's capacity.

Marie Hájková joined the program this summer to build on the foundation established by two former student volunteers, Antonie and Matous, by refining the structure, content and presentation of this website, and apply her social media management skills and knowledge to promote Pankisi Valley and Kist culture.

Marie worked intensively to create an educational program and comprehensive manual for training cultural tour guides. This is an invaluable resource for the Association and its present and future work in delivering quality tour services.

The OU Aid Mobility Program was launched in 2021 providing students from Ostrava University volunteering opportunities with PVTDA and to learn about a new culture.

The aim of the program is to develop the capacity of PVTDA in order for it to create awareness, promote Kist culture and ecotourism in Pankisi Valley effectively to a global audience.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Marie for her tremendous efforts, and to Vincenc Kopecek, Anna Kocurova and Ostrava University for supporting this program and PVTDA.
